haven't fished it for a couple of years, but lug would be preferable (however I used rag and did OK). You can buy frozen razor and sand eel locally and also dig bait.

See these books if you can - http://www.iol.ie/~bobmoss/ - I think Bob's contact details are also somewhere else on this site.

Dude Inch is great n all that but I fish Kerry twice a year at least and never fish Inch or Brandon beaches.
There are far better marks down there. (Im fishing in two weekends time actually)

Let me know where you will be staying and I wil see if there are any marks close that you should try.
Failing that I will tell you how we have fished inch in the past before discovering better marks.

thanks lads i got bob mosses book when i went fishing with him for the wrasse.a good few years ago we got wrasse up to 6lbs on hard back crab .i had a good bite but missed it reeled in and the hard back .had a bite out of it like as if you had taken a bite out of a soft chocolate and left your teeth marks ,i will all ways remember that day .i am a bit older now and not up to pumping welsh lug and combing the rocks for peelers thats why i was asking about the price of peelers .the sandeels i can get for £2.20 a pack and the squid i get from the chinese wholesalers .i have been looking on the web and this site it seems like i may be able to get a turbot i have never tasted one let alone caught one .its awhile since i fished so just trying to have a go again .thanks again for the info .(if its to wet and windy then the fish are all down the pub.) frank
