Boys and girls, as usual I'm about a month or two asking the question but is the Cod fishing after picking up at all around Cork, I log on hoping to see that "de wall" is fishing well etc but haven't seen any reports :( . Are things bad or is it a little secret ...shhh ?? Thanks in advance for any information.

thanks for the humour..much appreciated. I have been known to go for a perambulation to the wall indeed and even catch a few but as time is of the essence (kids etc) would just like to see how things are going. i drive past frequently and gaze enviously at the fisherfolk as i transport my menagerie to yet another "day out" ...oh the good ole days ....sigh i remember them well .

Its horrible driving past there, its so teasing. I try not to even look at this stage.
I wonder if someone could invent a weatherproof buggy come bait box so babies could come along?

Fished there today with jp and lumpy for one of our crosshaven ma rambler comps. Between us we had at least 200 undersize fish (25cm limit) 7 counting fish including 2 little codling and about 20 to 30 whiting heads, yep the seals were on patrol :-) if tiny whiting float your boat, get down there. If not, stay well away....
