beach fishing

hi lads happy xmas to all ,looking on any info into wind conditions tides etc for beach fishing out over the christmas got talking to another angler on east cork beach he said wind conditions were,nt great did,nt think it made that much of difference i guess he was spot on did,nt get a tip. hw at 5 fished from 5 till 730 any info appreciated

yer man was spot on about the wind, Easterlies make sh!t of the fishing. keep an eye on the wind map at www.met.ie.
The only other tip i could possibly give ya is to fish up to high tide instead of fishing from high tide. This obviously changes from venue to venue but in the main you'll find this state of the tide more productive.

Saying that though, there is so many more experienced and better anglers on this site to help you out than me

funny some marks fish their socks off in an easterly or south easterly and others go dead but will fish great straight after a good blow ,its all down to experience and trying different marks and tactic,s ,this is where a fishing log helps in years to come,sounds crazy but fish are predictable and creatures of habbit ,they follow the natural food supply ,all in all good fishing and picking a mark is 70% knowledge and 30% luck and 99% having the right bait when you get to the beach :roll:
