White rag

I live in an area where there is a mixture of sand and a kind of blue mud
and some times when digging for lug especially during a spring tide at the low water point i get these long rag worm with a pearly white colour they are easy enough to get at low water.
I read in sea angler about the white rag and wasnt sure if these were white rag as some of these worms had some yellow on them too.
There is one thing about these worms they are much tougher than anything i got when digging for bait before.

I caught some whiting on these worms before...............

Hi Conoflex

They could be white ragworm which are also known as silvers owing to the sheen they often feature however they could also be masonry worms, which live right beside white ragworm.... and which are totally useless as bait! I'm surprised you caught anything on them. White ragworm are a superb bait... very rare so if you are happy to tell people, please do it by PM...
