winter wrasse

i was lookin through the boat fishing reports and saw that theres still wrasse bein caught. i thought that wrasse were a summer species, so is there ny1 still gettin them from the shore :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Hi

They move offshore onto reefs where they can sit out the worst of the weather without being battered off the rocks by big waves. On sheltered marks you can still pick up small ones all year round but its rare enough and they are always very small and right on the bottom...

Had a cuckoo wrasse of the rocks last week, brightly coloured male....very odd looking at him with the hands froze off me and snow on the top of the mountains :shock:

i have heard of wrasse in shrimp pots in strangford lough in the winter- all just small
