winter wrasse

i was lookin through the boat fishing reports and saw that theres still wrasse bein caught. i thought that wrasse were a summer species, so is there ny1 still gettin them from the shore

They move offshore onto reefs where they can sit out the worst of the weather without being battered off the rocks by big waves. On sheltered marks you can still pick up small ones all year round but its rare enough and they are always very small and right on the bottom...
