Sat Dec 06, 2008 8:49 pm

well how do you like yours ?personally i bring boiled water in the flask ,tea bags, sugar, milk and spoon and make it as required in a travell mug ,if on a long or all night session the camping stove goes in the van ,eric makes it at home and puts it in the flask ,i,ve tried this and it tastes like crap  now eric does drink his black though !  (no pun intended)
dennis likes tea but seems not to have a flask  so drinks mine ,he recons its orgasmick ,lets face it tea always tastes good if someone else makes it  so come on lads any tips or tricks to make these cold winter sessions a bit more bearable
i avoid coffee because it makes me leak alot being a diaretic

a huge flask of slightly milky very sweet filter coffee does it for me. nothing like a hot drink on a cold night to cheer and warm you up, especially if you aren't catching.

1. Get 1 spoonful of coffee, 1 spoonful of sugar. Put into good travelmug. For handiness sake put in spoon also (spoon must be small enough to enable lid to close). I also put in Twix or other bar,,also in mug.

2. Go fishing and wait as long as possible to drink the coffee,, this can help to alleviate unnecessary leak breaks.

3.Remove twix or similar bar from mug and add in boiling water to contents of mug. Stir well. Affix top to mug and leave on a STABLE surface to brew   .

4. Press to lips and enjoy ,,,,,and feel the warmth coming back into your outer extremities.

5. Check for passerbys,,,,,,turn off lights,,,,check wind direction,,,,,then remove layers of clothing from nether regions and urinate ,,,at least 10m from your fishing site

WARNING TRY TO AVOID STEP 5. ABOVE AS IT CAN CAN LEAD TO HEAT LOSS FROM VITAL AREAS WHICH MAY CUT SHORT YOUR FISHING TIME

I only fish with lures so I like to travel light. There is always a 1/2L bottle of water in my backbag. Now I have to make room for a 1/2L flask of Italian coffee with milk and sugar.... So 'proper' latte it is for me! :P :P

Soup or tea gets my vote at this time of year, rest of the year though bottle of water does the job.
