Small Multiplier?

As i am going to Austria for Christmas will try and pick up a small low profile multiplier for plugging etc and good ideas???? On what brand or type, saw this one on veals ABU Revo S-L (left hand wind)

Why would you want a multiplyer ????

A good fixed spool is much easier to yous'e.

Just get the best Shimano fixed spool that you can afford and you will have years and years of trouble free fishing

As far as I know the revo should be a very nice reel, perfect for what you want it for. Can't beat the small multis for plugging and spinning.

I have a couple of the Abu Revo STX reels.....they are the highest spec mulipliers ever made by Abu, I have one converted to CT and the other still has the level wind left on.....these thing have the best drag you have ever seen, they pull 24lb of drag as sooth as silk. They hold about 180 yds of 14lb line....enough to get you into the fish and enough power to get the fish back in. For plug casting metals and heavier lures they are easier than any fixed spool.

Go for it. Us multiplier users need to keep that faith. I use them for everything from surf casting to free lining for mullet. They're definitely superior to anything else in terms of all-round line control.

Take Rockhoppers advise here..... the STX (magnetic brakes) is the best of the best of small multipliers. Yes a 3500 fixed spool is easier, but where is the fun in that..... Get used to a multi and you'll never go back
