youngrod, where ya from????

If you take a look at your profile on the site it doesnt give us a hint where your based, ie Location :?

Like Keith says, Greystones is in north Wicklow.

Greystones is certainly a reliable old spot, and gives a bit of variety as you have the rocks (which are just as productive in daylight as they are darkness) around the harbour to fish, or beaches to the north and south of the village.

Whilst this is somewhat of a bold statement, I'd guestimate that you could catch 20+ species around Greystones, so its not a bad place for a bit of (scr)atching.....however, its not renowned for producing specimen fish, so if its the biggies your after....head elsewhere

Hope this helps.

i would stay in cork aswell

i live 10 minutes from greystones and 3.5 hours from cork and i would give my my right arm to be able to get to cork fishing grounds in 10 minutes.
the lads from cork dont no what its like to be in an area that is almost fishless.
id say if the tables were turned they would be in for a big shock  they would have to search for an odd fish  all they have to do down there is turn up to get a few fish   .

only joking mate. fair enough if you where coming to wicklow/dublin for another reason you could wet a line. its probably the best of a bad bunch but if you are purely coming up to fish it i personally would hit a lot more beaches nearer to cork, waterford or wexford
