Bray

Have to head to Bray for work this evening, So I might aswell wet a line for a couple of hours. I havn't fished there before so can anyone point me in right direction? Whats the harbour like? Can you walk out to the end of it? Bringing a work collegue with me who I regurlarly bore with my fishing tales so I hope I don't draw a blank, Bringing some mack from the freezer and I might try and pick up some squid from superquinn,I doubt Ill make Viking before it closes so I guess they're my only option, Any safe spots for collecting limpets?

WHY dont you try south beach greystones instead there could be a few coalies and whiting on it and you dont have to cast out far they do be right under your nose.

I've fished bray harbour a good few times, its ok for small dabs, flounder, whiting, maybe the odd coalie, pollock and rockling.

I'd much rather have rag or lug in the bag if I was fishing bray thought.

I fished greystones south beach last night, you'll get away with just mack as bait here......my report will be up shortly

Nothing but laughter for me and my mate on the pier in Bray last night.Between us two and three other lads on the pier we had one rockling.They were using lug,peeler,sand eel,razor you name it. We were using mack,cooked and fresh prawn. A few bites but didn't manage to hook anything,was finding it a bit difficult to detect a proper take.Nice spot though no snagging problems. and most of the laughter was due to the speed at which crabs can find your bait. Within a minute of the fresh prawn hitting the water crabs were on it.

Greystones for me on Saturday I think. So tell me this is there a shop for bait in Greystones, Or should I go to DL or Bray first?
Fished Greystones before but way down the beech past the driving range and down the tracks to the containers. That walk's not as much craic on your tobler,Do I need to go that far?

Probably best to get your bait from Dun Laoire or Bray you dont have to go down that far just fish at the river just at the driving range or just out from the tunnel further up towards greystones harbour. mackeral and lug will be all you will need and try in close for the coalies.
