hi all i was thinking of buying a rod just for flounder fishing .and i know i will get an answer on this site

so lads whats your opinion

It depends how much you are willing to spend. On the high end you have the Conoflex Flattie Fanatic, AA Estuary. In the mid-range you have the Greys BZe (1 to 3 oz). In the lower price Shakespeare Salt Flattie rod is getting some pretty decent ratings.
I am using the AA Estuary for my flattie fishing and I find it excellent. I've used the BZe in the past and thought it was a great rod also. I'm sure some of the lads will give you other alternatives.

a long rod is worth a shot and helps when using long flounder rigs.

i use a spinning rod, leeda quicksilver 11', rated to cast 2oz i find it very good for targeting all flats and because it is light, even a flounder can put up a good fight ( i have even used it at a fishing competition where flatties seemed to be the main species, i ended up winning
