ROD FOR FLOUNDER FISHING

hi all i was thinking of buying a rod just for flounder fishing .and i know i will get an answer on this site :D so lads whats your opinion :?: :?:

It depends how much you are willing to spend. On the high end you have the Conoflex Flattie Fanatic, AA Estuary. In the mid-range you have the Greys BZe (1 to 3 oz). In the lower price Shakespeare Salt Flattie rod is getting some pretty decent ratings.
I am using the AA Estuary for my flattie fishing and I find it excellent. I've used the BZe in the past and thought it was a great rod also. I'm sure some of the lads will give you other alternatives.

a long rod is worth a shot and helps when using long flounder rigs.

i use a spinning rod, leeda quicksilver 11', rated to cast 2oz i find it very good for targeting all flats and because it is light, even a flounder can put up a good fight ( i have even used it at a fishing competition where flatties seemed to be the main species, i ended up winning :lol: :lol: )
