Guys,
Just a quick note to draw your attention to the new maps available on MSN.com.
Its a bit like Google Earth but with the added benefit of 3-d birds eye views from 4 different angles (rather than just an aerial view) This gives a great picture of the landscape/shoreline. The resolution is good too.
The coverage isn't great, so far I've only checked the Belfast & North Down area but I'm sure other areas are equally well covered.

yah they have been around for a bit but arnt the greatest for Ireland yet

[url=http://maps.live.com/]windows live maps[/url]are getting there,
one i like to use every now and again is [url=http://www.flashearth.com/]flash maps[/url], it combines all the data from nearly all the sources

Virtual earth's birds eye view is really impressive but unfortunately only a few parts of the country are covered at the moment. I've used it before to look for marks around Dublin and Bray and the quality of image and level of detail is impressive, not to mention the fact that is an oblique view that can be viewed from four directions.
