Cape Clear

Hi there,
I wish i was you! it's one of my fav places Cork, the pubs are great and so is the fishing

The North harbour is where you will pull in on the ferry, it is generally not a good spot, but if you walk up the streep hill passing the two pubs on your right, Cotters and Danny Mikes, you will come to the south harbour. fishing here across a mixed bottom could produce anything literally.
the triggers are great fun.
rotten bottoms are essential and lures of course if you make your way down th rocks into much deeper water.

A spot I've only fished once though is Blannanaraguan (what a mouthful), the southern most part of the island, which is a big rock face stretching out half a mile towards the fastnet.

we have Blue shark and skate every year fishing with Nick Dent not far off shore here. i have always wanted to see if a shore blue was possible from here if you had enough rubby dubby.
i had the usual pollock and wrasse here, but again anything is possible if the time was put in.

Stay away from pointabullig which is the headland the other side of the bay unless you have a death wish!!!

if you need any more info gimme a pm and let me know how you get on...

i'm so jealous
Paddy
