how 2 make lobster pots?

ders prob a post sumwere but i was wondering if sum1 could help me.
im lookin 2 try and make a few pots, im a steel fabricator so ders no probs in makin it but jus dont no how. all help welcome and pics would be brill.

would you not consider taking a trip out to howth to have a close up look at some either on the harbour wall or in howth marine supplies and bring a camera with you. :wink:

as far as i know you are only legally allowed to have three lobster/crab pots fishing at any one time :shock: for personal consumption. :wink: .

hi wayne was wondering if you were putting the pots out to sea or making them for somebody, just a little advice on if u are putting them out to sea , as far as i know there is now a law on taking a couple of lobster for the pot without a liscence u could do it a few years ago but some of the commercial fishermen around wicklow have told me there is law in place now and if caught you face a hefty fine so cant tell you any more than that really as me and the mates have a boat and were thinking of doing the same but were put off on good advice. in fairness the lads sort us out with the odd few as well as crab if we want them all the best. :?

thannks keitzer, ill defo hav 2 look in2 dis a little futher b4 i put out a pot. i was only goin 2 make 1 4 myself as i wouldnt mind a lobster 4 dins every now and den. do u no were i can find out more bout dis laws as i dont want break dem.
