Ok, finally dusted off the rods, oiled the reels and ready to get back to some shore fishing :D , (after a 7 year break ).
Anyways, the Sufix Tritanium seems to have been rated highly in other posts.
Can anyone recommend a mail-order supplier of the bulk spools? Veals don't seem to stock it and I'm sure the Galway tackle shops haven't improved in their supplies in recent years (but would love to be told otherwise!).
-Martin.
PS. By the way, great active site with excellent info, reports & banter :D

Hi Martin,
The sufix tritanium is great line and highly rated for being a good quality, abrasion resistant fishing line.
I bought a 1lb spool and 4 mixed 4oz spools from the Irish agent for sufix products last year.
I think it was around €45 for a 1lb (about 4000m depending on breaking strain) spool including delivery but I am not 100% sure from memory, but it was close to that price.

Freeney's on high street stock the stuff..
if they dont have it there they will get it in for you..
i have a bulk spool 5miles of line on it  that i got from there..
they do the 1100yrd 4400yrd and 8800yrd spools (you'll need them to order the larger spools)
if you just need to fill a reel I might be able to spare a bit of line.. for the odd pint of course

Great. Will try them. Tried Duffy's during the week for heavy flourocarbon for rigs - no luck. Went to try Freeney's - closed!
Didn't bother trying either of 'em after that for the tritanium.
5 miles of line?! Loooong distance caster obviously
Appreciate the offer of line. Odd pint? 1 is an odd number right?
(For the record, Anglers World in Meath don't stock it. Just rang 'em - they're checking to see if they can order it in :? ).

101 is also an odd number... and i'm just an odd person (the rest of the forum will agree there)

The Sufix Tritanium was proving a bit elusive. Tried Anglers World, Viking Tackle, Steve's in Limerick, Freeney's + Duffy's + Corrib Tackle in Galway. Henry's in Dublin didn't have in stock but offered to order it from the distributors (I had already confirmed the distributor had it in stock in both 4oz and 1lb spools).
Not only did Henry order it immediately, but he's also having it shipped directly to me from the distributor, saving some time in the shipping process.
Great customer service from Henry. :D
Steve: looks like we won't be "bartering" on the 101 pints
(For the price of 101 pints, I could probably have a crate-load of it shipped from Australia    )
Tell you what, if we hook-up at a fishing session (or any kind of session for that matter) sometime, I'll see what I can do about fixin' you up with a pint or two.

Hi Martin,
Glad you got sorted :)
Interesting to hear that Anglers World handnt got it as they are/were(2007) the Irish Distributor, I was told this by Gardner Tackle UK who are the UK distributors and directed me to Anglers World who in turn placed an order with Gardner Tackle for me.
Fair play to Henry's for sorting you out, that was well decent of him to ship it direct to you.
Hope you have plenty luck fishing with it too!
