i am going over to visit my parents in Brandon in may but this time i am flying to Shannon and hiring a car as i am only staying for 3 days, so here goes i was wondering if any of you kind people would know of anywhere i can get some rag worm or crab i have already spoke to colm at landers with no joy, and i wont have any time to collect my own so am willing to pay top dollar for it, any help would be greatly appreciated

but as far as I know, there is no one doing rag down that part of the world, but you might find crab or perhaps frozen/dried rag. Tried last year and failed.

thanks m8ty do ya think frozen crab would be any good for the wrasse (never tried it before ) might just chance putting it in my hand luggage :lol:

Frozed will be fine for wrasse. Get a small polystyrene box and tape it shut and you should be fine. Just get it into the freexer as soon a syou land to keep it in top nick.

Hello Jonty,
If you're after wrasse don't forget hardback green crabs, they must be one of the easiest baits to collect.
Wrasse fishing for many years, tried them last year as an experiment, landed my first specimen wrasse within 90 mins with my last crab (the big one left at the bottom of the bucket!).
