D.A.M. Fishing Tackle

I am restoring an old fishing rod and would like to know a bit more about it, problem is that I can't find any contact details for D.A.M. anywhere online. I know they were a German manufacturer but thats about it. Does anyone know if they are still in existence or if they have been bought over?

D.A.M. where bought out by the Svensen Group (who own Imax and Ron Thompson) a few years ago.....for the name mostly as most of there products we very dated, although good in there day.

I think D.A.M has changed ownership a good few times in recent years most recently as Rockhopper pointed out by Svendsen. I remember D.A.M gear being quiet popular in the early to mid nineties. I still have a couple of D.A.M rods and reels, actually now that I think of it most of my first proper fishing gear was D.A.M stuff.

Cheers gents, the rod I have is probably late 70's or 80's. Would love to know when exactly.

some of their fixed spool reels for beach casting where very tough ,a bit heavy but strong ,only gave my nefu one a while back i used it for years and it still going strong 8)
