I caught quite a few nice rays last year on Fenit Island’s beach in Co. Kerry. I was using mackerel stripes as a bite. Fishing during ebb and low water in evenings when ray becomes most active.

If your going to travel Dingle, Tralee, etc.. for the rays read through this site. Great fishing down there
http://www.traleebayseaangling.com/marks.html

Also read his catch reports for the time of year you will be going

When your down there pick up a copy of Bob Moss's book. Gives details of great marks
" A Guide to Shore Angling on the Dingle Peninsula"

Arklow South Beach and Courtown have Ray on them too.
