Hi there lumpy....
cant say since its look like their new in saltist line up(stt20)....had been improved from the earliest(not sure where...if not mistaken they re position the gear box).....but u cant go wrong with saltist....they re 'poor mans saltiga' ....like tekota and torium...an affordable models of ocea jigger or trinidad from shimano.....if me...i'll go for saltist...more metal components....tried them a few yrs back from friends that owned them....nice and solid.....cant say anything bout their castability since never cast one...one of the most favorable reel in the far east for pelagic and deep sea speed jigging scene....not everybody can afford saltiga,OG or blue heaven reels....
this a review of their earliest models...cheerrrsss....

hi joe, thanks for that.have heard that their castability is similar to the previous slosh's so that good enough in my book. will be looking to use it for rough ground shore fishing so doesnt have to be able to cast a mile...

How ya Lumpy,
I think Shimano have a Torium 14 too which seems similar and might be worth a look, seem to be getting thumbs up but I havn't used myself.
