Hi,

Just wondering, i have seen lots of reports on making your own leads
I have seen lots of mould kit on sites

but was wondering...

where is the best place to buy the lead to make the weights?

if you have a local scrap mearchant give them a call.

you could also call some local roofers and see do they have any flashing off cuts which is the best stuff to get IMO
.
you should try and keep away from old lead piping some times it containes moisture which could cause a serious injury if put into molten lead

i hope this gives you a few leads to go on

you can buy lead these days too by the metre etc...(dont have to buy a full 6" or 9" 12" roll etc).

Even buying from builders merchants works out cheaper than buying from tackle shops.I went on a lead making festival bout 3 yrs ago...and still got a bucket load of em.
