FS Reel for Greys Bze 3-5oz

Sat Jan 26, 2008 4:49 pm

I am looking for a good FS Reel to pair up with my Greys Bze 3-5oz. I am going to be using it for fishing from rocks and piers and would like it to have a couple of spools so I can have one for mono and one for braid.

Good line lay essential.

It will need to have power as i plan on using it for distance fishing and heavy spinning or heavy flost fishing. Wrasse, big pollock etc.

I am looking at grauvell zeus 5000 br-v but not sure if it would be too big for the rod.

Any advice appreciated or alternatives

the bze is powerful beyond its size, ive had my rock fishing for dogs and huss with no bother, also had it with big bass on too....bze are fantastic with 5500 multi reels, even 5000 reels...for fixed spool its hard to get one streamline enough to make the rod look good....id say ur shimano biomaster or the Grauvell Zues Z5000 are the best best...

The smaller version of the Grauvell Zeus fixed spools would be a nice pairing with the BZE

you could try a shimano navi. simular to the biomaster. mine came with an 8000 and a 7000 spool.

think it was around €90 but i couldnt b sure.

i have used it for beach, pier, rock and even as a boat fixed spool.

have pulled in specimen bass, specimen ballans and specimen smoothies and pollock to 6lb from the shore with it no problem what so ever.

a truely versitile reel that has never given any trouble no matter how much sand i get in it or how infrequently it was cleaned
