thinking of giving claycastle in youghal a shot over the weekend provided the winds dont force too big a surf, anyone know how it produces: states of tide, bait rigs distance etc

all advice appreciated

Fish from about low water, as long as its dark the slack tide can work well. If there is wind it will also help. Coalies, dogs and the odd ray and small cod (around 2lb) have been caught there in the last week.
