hi ya paul this will take a while ,
on the east pier the best fishing takes place on the back. the first entrance is located roughly 3/4 the way up, at high tide it is possible to fish over the kelp beds for straps, wrasse,Pollock and codling, bring some peeler, though mussel, rag and lug will take plenty of fish. there should be lobster pots about so this will give you a rough idea of where to cast.

if you clear the pots, roughly 80-100yds you are fishing over sand where flats, pouting, whiting, mini codling, mini haddock, dogs and the odd ray(so ive been told :? ) can be caught. i have heard of smoothies and spurs  also being taken at the ends of both piers  but i wouldn't be too optimistic. spinning here has also produced Pollock to 8lbs in summer, might be a bit late though

on the west you can target decent mullet near the dart track and boycie89's congers near the first elbow i think, ive been told you can coax them out of the water with patience by dangling mack over their heads  the end of the west piers holds a barrage of mini fish so only go their if your blanking elsewhere

good luck,
Eric
