looking for a new rod

i am thinking of a new rod for mixed ground i have around €220, multiplier, match rod, good bite detection i am thinking of:

ppt evo1 (the yellow and black one)

new supercast 13ft

what do yee think thanks

dont become a zzipy cindy, geys do some nice rods, take a look at the bze.

try the Anyfish Anywhere match rod, nice bite dectection and loads of power, used it on mixed/clean and tidal areas, nice rod

MC.....i doubt he will get a AA match for 220 euro

Jamie, learn how to cast first. i am being serious here.

aside from that i would say the Penn would be a better choice as it is lighter and has good bite detection. although in my eyes neither of them is much of a rough/medium ground rod.

what eric says is good, see what you can get in greys for that money.

one other thing, the rod you have now would make an excellent mixed ground rod its just the reel that is really letting it down.

i will reply later when i have had a chance to look through a few websites and then i would be able to make a better recommendation.

dear god no!!!! but he did say clean ground, and i think its a nice rod.

Reread the post it says mixed ground. ppt evo1 was a range of penn rods these have been replaced by the affinity range. For mixed ground the sidewinder ppt evo1 would be the one to go for but while easy enough load it still needs to loaded with a swing. So you need to be able to cast. Bite detection is fine for this rod which is designed for fising at range so not designed for the flats close in. Though I`ve seen the smallest of fish on mine. The affinity 13` 6" is the replacement for the sidewinder.

I think you should look at the GREYs range of rods I own a GREYS PLATINUM-XS works well over a kinds of terrine especially mixed to rough ground excellent rod to cast its a bit pricy at E500. 8)
My son Simon has a GREYS NITRA use over as above again pricy E430is.
He also owns a GREYs ORION excellent rod, not sure i think it cost E250is.
Jonh o Brien is a GREYS main in waterford dealer as well as CENTURY etc give him a ring at 051 844314. :wink:
Any way whatever rod you will choose i wish many happy hours of fishing weather you catch or not. :lol:

i reread the post too it does say mixed ground :oops: i stand corrected, take a look at the greys orion, i have one. its a very good mixed/rough ground rod for the price.

I have the AA match, it might be a bit outa your price range but its a super rod and should cover most of ur fishing
