Bought some of these last week in a shop for the first time. They were soft as sh** and would not even stay on the hook with elastic. Are they always like this? They seemed to have been in the container too long. Surely a "sell by" date needs to go on them? Anyone with similar experience?

tried the lazy lug and they were sh**! i would suggest staying away from these type of products and get the real thing. don't know about the lazy rag but the lazy lug was dearer than ordering fresh lug from the tackle shop, its a no-brainer.

lazy lug is rubbish alright, cant imagine the rag being much better :x

in my experience, doing my own similar tests with various solutions with lug and rag, they need to be in the fridge for long term storage. otherwise they go sloppy.
keep them cold and they will stay tough enough

the whole point of rag is its movement cant imagine soaking them in poison and killing them would make them appealing.
