Hi,
I am going to buy a ABU Multi very soon but am confused as to wether or not to go for a CS or CT model? I am not going to be a tournament caster or anything like that. Does anyone know how much distance a level wind would impact on casting distance. I had my first chuck with a multi which had a level wind and found it user friendly. Is it not a pain having to lay line using your thumb from distance with a good fish on or is this something you get used to ?
When I work out what to go for CS or CT there then is the question of Mag, Sports Mag etc etc. Is there much difference between them all? I know they have different braking systems etc but how do you choose which to go for?
Any help will be much appreciated. It is really hard to make a decision!!

Both have its own place even tho many will suggest go for CT.
Then its back to what application u goin to use it for.
Short distance...pier...short beach work for bass with bait using lighter rods...CS will make ur life better....
Long distance....beach....big rods....big oz of weight.....u will be comfortable with CT....
If u have the money get both.
If u intended or can afford only one then go get the CT.
Honestly go get the CT.U dont want to teach urself leveling line after u got into using multi for sometimes....and just get ur CT.Start early to familiarize with CT.CS is nothing....if u got it later...u dont need any extra skill like CT(leveling skill...btw its gonna be ur second nature after sometimes and its not that hard)
Just my 2 cent....cheerrss...

Jonny,
If your only starting out I would go with the level wind..it'll make things a bit easier on you especially at night.Ok you will loose a few yards casting
but it wont make to much difference. If its a case you can manage okay then consider a sports mag without the level wind.I have a sportsmag and find them one of the best reels I have ever used either cs or ct .
