Heatmerchants have the heavier type. I've seen the finer type in B&Q

Make sure that you sieve it with a large mesh if you go for the finer stuff. The rag ingest the dust and fine particles shortening their shelf life considerably.

I've got kina mixed feelings about storing rag in vermic, have had it go 'off' really quickly before when using the stuff. To be honest I'd nearly prefer to see it stored in seaweed and wrapped in newspaper, seems to survive better and definetly appears alot more lively when putting on the hook

i store mine in water in the fridge until needed, have rag in the fridge now for 2 weeks ans they are only getting better. then when i need them i put into a self made mixture of vermiculite, sand and gravel in approx equal measures. seems to work fine, makes them as hard as bullets. make sure that the sand is not from the high tide line as this sand can hold alot of impurities that kill worms in hours

International Trading on the Tramore rd. do it. Go to the hardware counter you'll get a bag it for about €27 and it will be about the size of a large bag of coal.

Whens storing rag in water are they completly submerged in water or just in a shallow tray??

i use a cat litter tray, can fit 3 in to each bait fridge handy. i put in about 2cm of water, find this helps to stop them from sticking together too much and even if they do they are easily seperated.

have rag in my fridge for the best part of 10 days now, i think that out of the 400 or so only about 4 or 5 have died in that time frame so it works quite well.

remember to change water every day and remove all the slime they create on a dialy basis too
