winter clothing

Hi lads
any one got any ideas whats the best winter clothing for rain and cold. only really need it for shore beach fishing. 1 piece 2 piece ?. floatation suit. have no idea which is best. money pit is not endless but i will spend enough for a decent set as reckon it will be important

get a pair of waders if you dont have one,the neoprenes keep you cosy enough and for the hands you cant go wrong with some neoprene gloves,as far as tops go im still looking for one that is actually is waterproof :x

have a look at the Sundridge crossflow 2 piece flotation suit. Henry has them in at about 175 a piece. 2 piece is handier as a one piece has to be a pretty good fit.
Don't touch the IMAX suits, there is a good chance that they'll fall to pieces on you as mine did.

Waders are an alright alternative but can be extremely sweaty which the crossflow isn't cos it's breathable.

what ever you get mate, invest in some thermals for those really cold nights, many layers keep you warmer than just one

i have an imax one and find it great but being a big lad i find most floation suits bulky, so tend to just wear the jacket and waders with thermals

yeah i am gonna do same whan not out in the boat

flotation suits are the best go for a 2 piece. i went for the one piece fladen very warm but you cant just take the top half of when you get too hot also its a good idea just to were shorts and a tshirt under neat as they get very warm except in the depths of winter

I wear buffalo fleece, really warm if a bit bulky. You can get top and bottoms. they unzip on the sides which is handy.

buffalo are the job alright, very warm, never wore it fishing but has staved off hypothermia on more than one occasion

Try it, but dont walk too far in it. Put it on when you get there.

not sure if Glasgow fishing megastore still do promotion on Mustad Viking 2 piece flotation suite,was before,got one for 49.99 £ i think its ok
