Hey all,
My bro in law comes fishing with me a bit and he lost the use of his left arm in an accident years ago, he was asking me today is there any reels on the market that can automatically reel in??
Was'nt sure, surely some of you tackle tarts will know of something on the market!!!

alby, came across an electric reel in this months sea angler, but its a boat reel, dont think its suitable for the shore if thats what he is into

Thats not a regular boat reels...but still acceptable to be use by handicap from boat....that reel miya epoch, tanacom bull etc are used for really deep water with a strong current where the depth of 150m to 300m with a sinker in access of 1 kg will take a toll on an angler just to reel in to check for a bait....

There may be another far cheaper answer if your bro-in-law has the use of his other hand, years ago I made a harness for a guy who had no use in one hand, the single strap fitted over one shoulder and came from under the opposite arm, that way he only needed to steady the rod with his bad arm while he cranked in with his good hand.
The shoulder strap fastened to another small strap that wrapped around the rod a few inches above the reel.
