I was down the local rocky beach looking for peelers the other day i lifted a rock an came across this wierd looking worm it was curled up in a ball and when i unravelled it it was about six foot long! it was a dark wine colour. just wondering if anyone has seen these before and if they would be any use for bait :?:

Wow what a worm you could use that attached to a beachball as a float and hang it off a meat hook you might catch a shark

never saw one that was that big but it sounds a little like a "pigs tail", presumably cos the tail is curly like a pigs tail  . got a few before but was told they were no good for bait, however the only cod i got in the session came to it.
