jammed ferrel/sprigot

anyone any idea? tryed WD40, freezing,hot water, even put it in a vice then tyed a rope to the top section, only managed to break one of the eyes :x . its a shimano cantana.

If it's a hollow blank and if it's possible, pour some ice water into the blank, and pour hot (not boiling) water on the outside, the size difference should free it up.

i have had success heating the outer part with a hair dryer, then get two people to pull the sections apart and twist as you tap the join with the butt of your hand.

usually works

wrap some bicycle inner tube around each opposing section to help make a thicker bonding grip. You and a helper to grip and twist in opposing directions.
From what you have tried so far, I guess that there could be a little grit in the spigot.

Well what always work for me is take the butt off the bottom part of the rod as in the rubber bit as this releases the suction it works a treat every time thats if it can be taken off best of luck .

Bloody hell Arthur, taking no chances there though it did work I suppose. Me thinks this might be part of the reason you go through so much gear :D :D :D :wink:
