howya lads, have peelers left over from a comp the weekend and was looking to see if either of the estuarys above have any decent marks as im working over that direction till thursday.Read up on the central fisheries site that the channel on the flood in rogerstown throws up an occasional bass and flounder so will prob give that a go.Will probably bring along the spinning rod but would prefer to bait fish and chillax.Anyways lads yous can PM me if needs be. know a mark in killiney that throws up collies and rockling, as well as cod, wrasse and Pollock, heading there on Sunday. west pier in dun laoghaire produces nice mullet.

Plenty of corckling wrasse in Rogerstown Estuary at the moment, Some mullet but the bass are not showing up. better bet would be the bar at the mouth of the estuary along the beach at low water all the fish hold up there until the tide floods.

lads id be well interested in a shore session in rogerstown, that sand bank you were talking about mate, have heard of the odd ray being taken on it... is the only access to the mouth of the estuary by driving in to rush and then heading back up the beach? i no the road down to the harbour but thats all.. living in swords if anyone fancies a session down there maybe over the weekend, have been meaning to fish that spot for a long time

Thanks for the input kk.had a look in the estuary this avo and spotted a few terns diving probably hitting sandeel.going back in the morning at low water to sus out any deep holes.was talking to a mate who use to fish regular in the estuay and he said exactly the same as yourself in regards of the bank at the mouth.kinda in two minds wether to fish it on hearing the bass arent showing but will make a decision in the morning.cheers lads 8)

Yea access at the sailing club in Rogerstown Nialler or ya can go through the town and drive up the beach but the sand gets soft half way up so ya need a jeep. Bit of a surf and its worth a go. Mite try get out there at the weekend!!!

Went spinning/plugging there few times last year all the way up the channel towards sailing club. Usually evening flooding tides. Never caught or sought anyone catching anything... Gave up on place in disappointment. Beautiful spot though...

Had a look around the estuary this morning at low water and theirs plenty of decent marks that you would imagine would hold fish plus theirs plenty of food there so everything points to a decent spot.spoke briefly to a couple of lads that were gathering bait to see if they could give us a few tips on the venue but they seemed to think that it hasnt fished to well of late but that the area beside the yaught club does throw up the odd bass.anyways if anyone fishes it let us know how yous get on. 8)
