i have heard that this attracts rays and doggies is this true or not? any catches with was influenced by wd40?? :roll:

AFAIK wd40 breaks down the oils in bait (mackerel, sandeel) and disperses the scent quicker.. i dont think if it was used with anything else(non-oily based bait) that it would be as productive

have used it when doggie and conger fishing and it has worked for me.

Heard it and tried it a few times. Fished with two rods, same rigs and baits. but sprayed wd on one and left the other with plain bait and can say it never made a difference in catch rate. Tried it with sandeel, lug and mack baits.. I do keep a can with me, but its best used in my opinion to spray on your gear to stop rust.

i found it helped when fishing for whiteing+coalfish in the winter. but usually if you have fresh mackeral or well frozen mackeral you dont need it!
