Can anyone recommend a good sea fishing monthly or weekly magazine

Sea angler or Total Sea Fishing are the two that I know.

They can be handy but to be honest for the price the internet and forums are a much better option.

The tackle reviews are not really to be trusted cos those guys aren't allowed to say much about bad tackle or the advertising gets pulled, I know this from discussions on another forum where there are a lot of angling industry people and they say don't trust reviews.

They can be good though for rigs and tips now and again, but the internet is just as good.

Just my opinion, take it as you will.

Irish Angler

It covers all forms of the sport, is specific to Ireland, and a lot of the people here write for it, myself included so I admit a certain bias

Cheers

Gave up buying any of them, found they were repetitive and got fed up with them all. I get much more info from the forum and talking to the guys I meet.

Agree with you Pat other than repetitive, theres not much new things bout the tips, tricks, tactics info to the reader that suppose to come from them to the reader. As examples....Sea Angler recently have an articles bout jigging which have been popular anywhere else in other parts of the world for 5-6 years ago and theres still not many ppl here really know or ever heard of the tactics which is proven deadly and fun.A few issue of the mag before that highlighted bout spinning for pollack, they even put the funny pic of how to hooked a jelly worm with an ordinary hook.As a fishing writer they suppose to be ahead in tactics, equipment and tips so that they can produce something new to the reader.Just a suggestion to any writer out there.
