Supposedly better than frozen macks. Are they? How much do they cost and where can you get them?

ive fished with a few guys who used them and got f all ...petekd being 1 and croppy boy being the other, they could tell you better..you can get them in enniscorthy, dannys bait and tackle

They are getting some fantastic write ups in the mags.... There must be something to them. :lol:

In Total Sea Angler for August they are fished along side sandeels in a test. The blueys out fished the sandeels on evey test that was done. :shock: Apparent the dogs and rays went mad for them and left the 2nd hook with the sandeels alone! :shock: The only time that the sandeel caught was when they were fished in a cocktail format with the blueys. 8)

I'm not sure though were we can buy them. In last months mag it stated that they were only available to the trade. :evil:

I actually had a double shot of doggies on them on a pennel pulley rig.... nothing else though.

I tried them in Fahan last week as Tony the Tiger would say there Great
Caught Loads and i mean Loads of WEED :evil: but no Fish.

TBH i didn't give them a good effort was only out for an hour.

They are a new bait on the market supposed to be brilliant, they look like long Herring, The ones i got were sold as Pike bait ?

after doing alot of searching for 'blueys' i gather it was a bait name and not the actual name..

the nearest i could find that describes 'blueys' is the 'Atlantic saury'

Yea Steve that's them but the ones i got didn't have long noses suppose they got damaged whilst been frozen

what price are these goin for lads?? reckon i will try them over some different types of sessions and see what they're like. i can't see them making a massive difference? i could be very wrong but if you're fishing effectively with 'old shool' baits(!) you will catch just as many fish?

Have you seen the link i sent under (lures) the mackeels i bought look just like them, cant wait to try them in a few weeks :wink:
they might outfish the real thing :lol:
