okuma magnetix

Just wondering if anybody knows if this reel is good or not. I know there were a fair few posts about it a few months ago but it all seemed to be speculation then. Anyone used it or know someone who has? :D
Had planned to get one from the 525 range but broke my arm/wrist a week ago which means I can't start my usual summer job for ages :x hence the okuma would now be at the top of my budget.

If its not up to much I'll post a wanted ad on here for something secondhand in the 525 rage because it'll be my first proper multi and I understand a penn is easier to handle than an abu.

Any info welcome,
col

Agree with padge, sl20 is THE bargain of the multiplier range at the moment. However, if you are only fishing clean ground venues then I would suggest the original black 7HT - the most forgiving casting multiplier out there and available for the same price as a sl20 or even less on ebay.

Because I will predominately be fishing clean/mixed beaches, I was going to discount the sl20 as an option as tought it was mainly for the rougher stuff.
The 7ht looks tempting allright but not sure if its within budget, it seems to come in at around 120/130euros (inc p&p) from ebay/mail order compared to 92euro for the okuma from the shop. Thanks for the suggestions padge73 and Lee 8)

p.s. distance casting isn't a big issue, just want one as a fishing tool/new toy :) to match a 14ft triplex and other 12ft beachcaster

p.p.s  . I already have a penn 535GS, if that makes any difference

You can get an sl20sh of the older model in Henrys at the moment for 120 euro, nice reel and it'll do for clean ground too just it has great power for kelp or rock.
