can anyone recommend a venue either on north co dub or up as far as droghada that might produce on the big tides this week, i am thinking of fishing this wed evening say from about 6 onwards. i canget pretty much any bait so this is not an issue

hi guys , new to the fishing scene , can you tell me what bait /lures you are using at portrane, as i am drawing a blank every time :? where is the mark as i live quite close thanks ed

I don't fish it myself Ed, but I'd take a guess that lug worm will work. Rag might be worth a bash as well. With these bright days, fish it at night or into dusk. This Wednesday / Thursday loks like a nice tide. As with all Dublin bay beaches, it can be very hit and miss.

The only bait for there is crab, fishing into dusk on a rising tide, its south half a mile from the carpark at the hotel
