one of my 525 has crushed bearing in it. it has not affected the reel on any noticable level- it's still my favourite!! it's just harder to oil up! if ye can get away with it....

theres only a little clink every few turns...havent had it out the door yet so i dunno what the performance will be like... it wasnt very nice to me on sat...3 birdies in a row then i packed it in the bag...needed to reload the line and clean it out...

u got sound effects?! :? mine still runnin quite. the supermag is a niosy bugger though. annoys me! if u can get bearings cheap sure why not go for it! check to see if your magnets have not popped out- can be the cause of mysterious birdies....

Bought a couple of sets of these myself. Haven't used them yet, but can say the ebayer is first class. My bearings seem fine. Make sure you use red rocket oil on them though.

The one thing to be warey about ceramic bearings is there is nylon in them that dissolves in petrol.
