The harbour were the ferry comes across has any of u's every fished in there last summer i had a couple of casts for about an hour or so but no joy it seemed to be pretty deep and theres bound to be a channel to give the ferry access from what i remember there was very old harbour walls bound to be good conger as theres a small commerical fleet that dock there so its a busy wee place wonder if it would be worth a throw at night in the summer months

Hi there always heard that it was really good for congers there in the summer. A guy was telling me about it and he uses squid and mackerel off it he also said it is also quite preductive at night.

I was getting whiting, pollack and coalies from Moville pier a few weeks ago on mackerel after dark, its only a few miles from greencastle so i am assuming the same species will show there.going out that way tonight after a few decent flatties if i get lucky i will let you know.

I have fished movile and greencastle a few times and it's always been a waste of time for me at both locations, i spent a full day at greencastle last year with a mate and we spent most of our time along the outside wall of the harbor as well a bit of time on the inside and not even a bite between us.

I fished this harbour wall at august last year, for about an hours fishing at high tide it gave me 4 mackerel, plenty of boys fishing it

i went at the end of winter last year to greencastle Pier so i might give it a try again shortly and see if i can get a few mackerel for my tea.
