subtract 1 hour 45 min from the tides for wicklow saying that the tides around the area can be strange at times, last week it was like two high tides in two hours with the water falling back to 3/4 and rising again very strange indeed like most beaches it fishes better with a bit of surf and fish show in bigger numbers at dusk and after dark the beach is quite long and there is a north and south beach if you want to make the trip solo go in daylight so you get your bearings before it gets dark if you pm me or keep an eye on debrocks posts i am sure someone would meet you and show u the ropes ps. the beach is 3/4 of the way to arklow on the coast road from wicklow take the n11 to the turn off for brittas bay at jack whites pub when u get to brittas turn right and it a ten muinute drive on a crap road so take it easy :D

For tides its easier to go by arklow as a simple subtraction from wicklow isn't always accurate. I wouldn't go by the irish times as they can be off or not give an accurate picture. Best to check the admiralty times as this will show whether theres a normal high low tide or a static tide. Even though tides may be small they have an impact as even though the tide may not go in or out the rip is very strong in some areas needing a 6oz or more grip to hold.
