The shimano aero techmium xt 10000 holds the world record for a fixed spool, just over 260yds. You can get one for about £230 sterling if you shop around.

Pookie, I use a Diawa Emblem Pro matched with a 12" Supercast X and am more than happy with the performance. I have loaded the reel with 20lb Fireline and if its distance I need I cast OTG. I am not great at judging distances but I reckon I am hitting close on the 100yd mark.
The recommended retail price is £165 but it would appear the going price is approx £125. I was lucky enough to pick mine up while on holiday in the States for 135 dollars (with free line).
However, if there was one change I could make it would be the handle, I would prefer a more chunky one for better grip.

Try Ginrinpeche on Ebay think he may still have some Tournament Basia's around £160 with free p&P or check the website Ginrinpeche Japanese Tackle Store. Website prices normally a bit higher, think they may still be doing free p&p for orders up to 15th Jan.
