yes i saw the picture of the bass, great fish. i'm jealous as hell. one of these days!!

No problem, Lee. It's just that that pic had a Crown Copyright notice in the footer and they're one bunch who are real sticklers about copyright. I've seen them pull guys who had written tidal packages with UK/Ireland tide data in it because the Crown own the copyright to the hydrographic data. Better safe than sorry in this case.

As a general guideline, any pic that shows a copyright notice or watermark will have to be removed from the site if posted. It's a pity because we'd only be using them for information rather than profit, but the law doesn't allow for that.....

Bass at Browns bay

Mon Nov 20, 2006 11:57 pm

Hey folks it was me who caught the Bass. I know some people are questioning the truth behind this catch but as can be seen from other posts I have made, even I believe it was a total fluke. The copyright footer is a definate suprise as I took the picture myself. If anyone want to ask about the catch, feel free. You can find the picture at the following:-

Crown Copyright Notice

Tue Nov 21, 2006 3:15 pm

Hey Sandman.
Sorry that there appears to be a copyright notice on the picture, this is news to me and I have no idea how it got there. Could you please drop in a line to tell me how to view the footer as I would hate to find that someone has stole it for themselves. I just can't see it anywhere. I'll try to attach the picture to this post along with some others I took at the same time.
If anyone needs proof that the picture is mine, then please just ask me to take a picture of the reel with a national newspaper of your choosing. I'll make sure I get the newspaper of the day I reply to the request. I hope this will help to prove the credibility of both the picture and myself. Everyones a sceptic ehh!!!

Yeh Round_ourway, tried a few Saturdays past for an hour or so but caught scratch all. Nice place though. I've heard that the painted rock (I suppose that thats the rock visible from the beach on the headland towards Port Muck) is a good place to fish from.
