Had a little Fletcher Speedboat last year and was knocking about in the Swilly one day when these two buffoons arrived on their Jet Skis, hammering about, cutting across in front of us, tearing to within 6 feet of us before turning away and sending a cloud of spray over the wee boat etc.

We went back to the pier, tied up the boat and bided our time..... suffice it to say, those two lads wont be doing that again in a hurry, as I said to my buddy after the event, it was very hard for either of them to explain themselves whilst he was holding them by the neck....

I'm waiting until I see one in a hoodie and burberry baseball cap. Then, I'm going to take a file and start putting points on my 6oz grip leads...

I would consider myself to be someone who has a reasonable sense of fairplay and who respects the rights of his fellow man: live and let live sort of attitude. However, I tend to agree with Steve on the subject of jetskiers and share many of his sentiments on the subject.

 In the order of things they rate as welcome than a swarm of wasps at a picnic; are more out of place than a clown at a funeral; are as highly regarded as slugs to a lettuce farmer and as welcome as a fart in a space suit.

They are the hoody brigade on water; the large bore exhaust Vauxhall Astra drivers gone aquatic.

 I can't describe the very inhuman and disturbing thoughts I have when I encounter these morons disturbing everyone's enjoyment and frequently endangering both themselves (who cares?) or people around them. One recurring image I have is of a group of them skewered kebab-like on the bowsprit of a sailing vessel or being snaffled by a Great White......

The review of the bait launcher in June's Total Sea Fishing has just opened up a whole new series of mental images of how to 'interact' with these aquatic a**e-wipes.

 A 1lb rocket at up to 300 yard range certainly beats what I could do with a 6oz grip lead at less than 100yds (yes I am a crap caster!)

Any takers for a thread in the Scomber cafe on this one?

I've taught my cat how to respond to noisy, intrusive jetskiers. Dipstick jet ski jockies beware: she may be young but she's a crack shot!

The open ocean is not designed for jetskis believe me i know.....small watercraft at speed against high swells is serious fun but how long can you stay on for
