Lads this evening and tomorrow would surely be a good bet on the beaches- wind is really dying off after a long stormy spell? the fish should surely be coming on the feed hard.

Lovely neap tides for estuaries this weekend too.

Well any estuary now would be a total wash out with all this rain . It's a pity with tides right and all ah well maybe the next slacks might be suitable

Well I don't know about anyone else, but I spent about 24 hours blanking in yougal last Friday and Saturday! Anyone coming across any cod anywhere...? I can't seem to find em. Seems like it could be a mighty poor season or just very late... I did get out on the boat Sunday and when we scored some bait from a charter the fish started to appear; one small cod and plenty of good whiting. Fresh water's a killer for inshore though I think. Anyone on de beaches....?

there are a few cod about youghal but there few and far between at the minute ,altough i did have one to 7.5lb last week , I pressume that amount of water has put them off even further

We'll it's great if you can get it! Peelers are like bloody gold dust! I'm starting to think that the main reason that crab is so good in yougal is because it lasts longer than any other bait and isn't munched as quickly by, well, crabs! Am I way off the mark three..?

It's a type of Nav chart, red is shallow, green and dark blue are deep.
The navionics website has a detailed chart if you're interested.
