we tryed an experiment the other night i fished frozen bait and my mate fresh peeler i had non stop bites on frozen mackerel, squid , razor and peeler but brought in doggie after doggie after whiting, my mate had 6 cod 1 whiting and a doggie on fresh peeler we fished just before high water to an hour after low water , he had his codling over high water and on the dropping tide.

Yes the same one, but was quite enough initially until a couple of hours into the rising tide, then an onslaught on hungry fish for an hour and a half before quitening down again. Picked up close to high tide with the last five fish including the largest of the night.
Did you loose a pulley rig there? I hauled in one very similar to the rig you recently described somewhere on the site, with a red hook.
