Bass, Pollock, Wrasse and Mackerel all on lure and all on very light gear, the lighter the better.

My top 5 from the shore at the moment but it dose change.1 bass, 2 wrasse,3 ray ,4conger and last but not least pollack/coalie on lrf gear. It's some hit when using a .4gram tip and a 4lb coalie strips the reel.

Tough choice but I'll go for the smoothies. Coalies are up there too when spinning.

Womem it take a good bait to get them to bite and when hooked you have to play them well or else you will lose them after landing you still have to play the game as if it was your first nibble
So you can get browine points to try for another lol

But when it comes down to it ray on the bait rod i just love it and pollock on the light gear no better feeling but i have yet to get a bass on the light gear so maybe things will change

flounder
always get a wee glow when catchin them - very fond memories of first catching these fish as a kid from a rock..
and they are ingeniously evolved fish. they are also predatory and opportunistic and.. they taste great
would love to catch a halibut (big flounder)

and i fully intend to some day
love catchin all species of fish..

Bass on lures by a mile. Pollock too, Sea Trout. Try to avoid macks if I can due to their delicate nature. Any fish that will hit a lure and give a good account of itself. I'll never get enough of that feeling of a lure stopping dead in the water, the rod slamming over and bouncing...!
