Was there yesterday as we're about 15 other lads didn't see anything over 1lb being caught
Very disappointed with it thought there would have been a few around at this stage

Still no sign of cod run in Youghal - fished Ferry Point for two hours either side of low tide at the weekend. No cod, didn't see anybody else catching any either. But I did catch a bass on crab so it wasn't a wasted trip.

No cod showing from the rock marks in West Cork either.

Water temperatures of 12.5 from the M5 buoy and 11.2 from the M3 buoy being reported today.

Might have to drop a bit more for greater numbers to show no?

Heading down to Monkstown in a couple of weeks for 3 days fishing. What kind of leads are needed, fixed grippers or breakaway?
Never been down before, looking forward to it.

You will need grip leads to fish the wall 5oz or 6pz mostly depending on how strong the tide is
Check the tides on the dates you are planning smaller tides are better as you will be able to fish them longer

A few of us fished Ferrypoint Friday night. Very poor and very cold best fish was a 47cm codling. at a guess 3lb. Fished Garryvoe Saturday evening till about 10pm. plenty of coalies flounder a 34 cm whiting and a decent bass of about 5lb. Hard grafting but it was dam good to get out.
