It is possible to have a protected electronic version of any magazine. I subscribe to the US Saltwater Sportsman and it's about 2/3rd the cost of the paper version.

The document can only be read with a specialised reader, officially.

The problem with a digital edition is that a percentage of present magazine customers are not computer literate and a lot probably never will be at this stage of their lives... I hear regularly when I recommend angling sites to anglers "I have no computer" or "no net" or simply a blank stare

if you were thinking of doing a free quarterly one like adam mentioned i could free some time up to do a spot in it about some marks in the north including pics. i buy total sea fishing, sea angler and the irish angler. and to be honest the lack of info for sea fishing in the north is pretty annoying. out of them all the irish angler has the most relevant features in my opinion. and credit where credit's due  . but it's still only a few atricles out of the entire magazine, but i understand why with trying to appeal to a greater audiance and subscription base. the greatest find we ever had when we started sea angling again was this site :P :P :P info on rigs, bait and marks are all here and i'm proud to say we've made some firm friendships with the lads on the site from all around ireland who have helped us along the way. it's also good to be able to help others who are just starting out and are in the same position that we were ourselves a few years ago :D . i'd go so far as to say that if it was'nt for this site we'd still be camped out on donaghadee harbour as when we started out it was the only mark we knew of

I fully agree to what you have said about the benefits of this site for newcomers and experienced anglers alike Alan, so why not create a section here about interesting marks, including pictures and how to access these safely, or is this a very naive request?
IMHO there is no need for a new magazine, we have a brilliant site here with lots and lots of really helpful advice and information, all it takes is to update it accordingly.

And, @thebigman, you can, it's easy too, just make sure it's your own laptop. :)

Don't know what kind of income your on being able to afford a laptop just for the toilet, and it's not very hygienic, and all the info on it would be sh*t.
