Austrian man,

I had a look at the link and its made resizing a lot easier for me so thanks for that… I’ve just sacked “image shack” 8)

KC,

If I was you I would do the same… sack the photographer, :)
Na man I’m just jealous because I haven’t caught one of them YET

that pic looks less than a 1 lb, weight is in background and doesnt help but that fish looks well off the 2lb mark to me i wouldnt give it 1 lb considering the head makes up the bulk of the body and most of that is mouth which is empty and has no meat, stick next fish on a measure for accurate GUESSTIMATE...!!

while i wasn't there when it was caught, i understand you weren't there either

Lads just to get this back on track,

Above you will see the original question that I was asked to put up here and nowhere does it say that he reckoned it was a 3lb fish… in fact he has never mentioned any weight to me or has he printed any weight in any of his post’s, :?

All the chap wanted to know was if the bloke that told him that he may have a specimen fish was talking through his hat or had he indeed caught himself another specimen,

Simple as that.

Nice looking fish K/C… A Chap in a magazine said they have a face that only a mother could love,

Thank's for all the post's lads, and all the help with the image resizer(austrian),but at no time did i mention it being 3LB or around that mark, i was told in a tackle shop by some bloke that it could of been a record as i told him i guessed it was about 1-1.5LB and he said as far as he knew the record was only a few ounces because i showed him the photo in the shop, i was just curious
so Mann put the post first post on this site just to inquire,so without being rude to any one best you read all the post's correctly, as at no time did i mention the wieght of the fish and you know who you are.

TIGHTLINES
and thankyou to mann and the austrian.

   Somehow I don’t think he was talking about you f / midget as you answered a post that you seen and are correct in what you said “if your not there to see it how on earth can you say the size and weight from a picture that has no real item in it to judge by” 8)

Camera’s can trick the eye… especially that crap one of kilkee congers :)

I think the 3lb fish was talked about by dan (mini mcminn) relating to a fish taken in a lobster pot in strangford lough (must have been some size of lobster pot !! ),nothing to do with the size of this fish , nice to see a few actual photos of short spined sea scorpions as they're not caught as much as they're smaller cousins the long spined sea scorpion .

Re: Scorpion Fish specimen / record size

Tue Dec 23, 2008 12:10 am

lads you have me all wrong., bar Ronald. that exactly what i meant...!!! they are big sea scorpions and bigger than any ive ever caught but what i was saying was if they are as big as dan says (3lbs) surley they would be worth a photo.
no offence to mann, killtheconger, fishingmidget ,dan or anyone else for that matter but i was just saying that surely a fish like that is worth a good pic if its to claim record, just like the photo donal domeney and eyesreilly put in where the size is clear and there is no confusion. if there that big post em thats all im saying id like to see one.
HAPPY XMAS.
