I refreeze all my blacks, i use to trow them away then i thought what a waste and bloody expensive. I have used them regularly and have found that they are great for dabs and rockling.

Don't know never had a golf they were always too small for me to get my yellow tails into the boot. ooh! by the way what has a black gti golf got to do with bait anyway.

once your frozen lug has defrosted, can it be refrozen?

afaik its not iodine it is some sort of irritant the the worms produce its also in their blood

ok thanks, as for it being an irritant does it effect anyone? i know rag blood burns when it enters a cut due to its acid content

I actually believe it is iodine and it is not bad for your body just terribly messy and smelly( about a 5 day wash should be fine.)

In truth i store lugworms by salting them and wrapping in newspaper and when fishing i put them in a shallow tub of water to gain some moisture.

conor, when using lug, keep em dry while you put them on the hook, they will stay tougher and wont burst on impact with the water, soaking lug also tends to wash the goodness out of them or so ive been told.
