You will not be disappointed with the ian golds back pack, although i have the smaller size it was money well spent. I got mine from Mckees in Bangor, but he also has them in the Belfast shop. I tried the 2 sizes in the boot of my car and the larger size would have had to be put on its side to let the parcel shelf sit right but the small size sits upright perfect and is therefore easy to work out of when in the boot. PS. My parcel shelf does not lift when the boots lifts, it folds in about 4 sections, so i can fold 2 and use the others like a work area.

Cheers Contender,

Am really looking forward to getting the bag, I never gave any consideration to whether it would stand up in my boot or not :?

Just went for the bigger one for the extra bit of space for water proofs and stuff during the bad weather.

Hi All,

The backpack arrived on Friday morning and I must say it really is a top quality piece of kit!

Very well thought out with lots of nice tidy features.

I have used it the last two days and found it very comfortable even though I packed way too much tackle in it

I cant imagine anyone needing more space in a pack.

The thing I like most is that all your tackle is neatly laid out and very easy access when fishing. Compare this to the hiking pack I used before this which I just piled everything into and then spent ages pulling stuff in and out as needed.

The rigid cooler bag that came with it is absolutely brilliant too and over a 4 hour session in 24 degrees of heat and in direct sunshine, my bait never thawed out! also kept my sarnies in good condition too.

All in all I am very happy with my purchase, top product.

also it fits standing up in the boot of my car which is pretty handy too.

Glad your happy with the back pack. I think they are great. Its like carrying a bag, but as easy to work out of as a box, with everything in its place and easy to find. Cheers

Cheers Contender!

Am very happy with it and its exactly as you say, the convenience of a box in a bag! without being able to sit on it :D
